Philippine Mission Opportunities

Summer Campaigns
  • Six weeks working with established churches and living and working with locals.
  • Concentration: Evangelism or soul-winning.
  • Go with a church group or university team.
  • Extensive information available upon request.
Medical Missions
  • 10-14 days working with medical teams.
  • Medical workers needed as well as spiritual counselors
    and advisers.
  • Other needs: Medicine and medical equipment
Church Planting Mission
  • Minimum: Two years in one place focusing on soul-winning.
  • Work with Filipino preachers.
  • Pioneer work.
  • Other needs: Teaching materials, Bibles, etc.
Mission Team Effort
  • 4-5 team workers from the US working with 4-5 local
    workers.
  • Urban ministry involving diverse outreach and programs.
  • Extensive preparation and coordination with local counterparts
  • Other needs: Teaching materials, Bibles, etc.
Campus Ministry
  • Several areas need campus missionaries to reach out
    to the University students (30T-50T students).
  • Teach and train local Christians to be campus missionaries.
  • Work with an established local church to do follow up.
  • Minimum Term: One Year.
Youth Ministry
  • Aside from reaching out to the youth, this includes teaching
    and training local workers to specialize in ministering to
    the young people.
  • Work with established local church.
  • Minimum Term: One year.
Adviser/Consultant
  • Work with individual or multiple churches at the same
    time. Mostly with struggling or new churches.
  • Involves crisis management, problem-solving, church
    planning and organizing, etc.
  • Minimum term: Six months .
  • Extensive experience and Bible knowledge absolutely
    necessary.
Preaching TOUR
  • Conduct gospel meetings, seminars, lectures all over
    the Philippines.
  • Subjects: Evangelistic, youth, marriage, parenting, grief
    recovery, WBS, etc.
  • Minimum Term: Two weeks.
  • Extensive experience and outstanding public speaking
    skills necessary.
Support local preachers, American workers,
preaching school students and teachers.
  • Sponsor and support local preaching students for as low
    as $35.00 a month per student.
  • Sponsor or support local preachers or preaching school
    teachers for as low as $100.00 a month. (starting support)
  • Assist American workers with their plane ticket, work
    fund or personal support.
  • Send support through US church sponsors.
Vocational Teachers
  • Teachers needed to teach local leaders or preaching
    students how to make a living and support themselves
    while preaching.
  • Vocational fields: Air conditioning, auto, furniture,
    electrical, agriculture, etc.
  • Minimum Stay: 3 months.
Construction Volunteers
  • Workers needed: Engineer, developer, architect,
    contractor, etc.
  • Minimum Stay: 1 month.
Support a Bible Fund or finance printing of tracts,
church newspaper, magazine, etc.
  • World Bible School Introductory lessons.
  • Philippine Christian Chronicle.
  • Philippine Churches of Christ Directory.
  • Tracts written by local writers in the vernacular or native
    language.
Other Mission Opportunities
  • Produce a web page for mission workers, church newspaper.
  • Create brochures and distribution materials.
  • Raise funds or materials for mission needs.
  • Promote Philippine Efforts in Lectureships and other large
    gatherings.
  • Provide temporary housing for visiting missionaries.
  • Provide computers, transportation, office space, etc. for
    visiting missionaries.
  • Set up preaching appointments or fund-raising dinners.

  • Philippine Christian Chronicle. This is a national publication of information about Churches and Christians all over the Philippines. The paper lists activities, events, publications, and ministries all over the country. Available by e-mail and print edition.
  • Directory of churches of Christ in the Philippines. This is available in paper edition. E-mail edition will be available soon.
  • E-mail addresses of missionaries and local members in the Philippines.
  • Testimonies of University campaigners and short-term visitors.
  • Missionary Reports. Monthly reports sent out by missionaries around the country.
